Spanish Survival! Learn and Practice Spanish for Real Life Situations!

Sometimes life takes us to unexpected places and new opportunities come to us and these chances cannot be lost. Who can pass up travel to a remote, exciting, country full of Spanish speakers? What happens though when suddenly we arrive, and we do not speak a word of Spanish? The experience could be complicated, possibly unsafe, and uncomfortable given that the percentage of English speakers in Latin America is quite small.

Did you know that in Costa Rica, less than 11% of the population speaks a second language? Although most of those are English speakers (91,8%) according to the National Institute of Stadistic and Census (INEC), the majority of Costa Rican still do not speak English. Based on that information Colibrí Language School offers a practical Spanish survival course.  This course is made of up of five lessons and each one is three hours per day. In this survival course you will learn basic vocabulary and useful expressions that literally can save your life and give you tools in the following real-life situations:

• Buying things in stores or supermarkets.
• Buying tickets and asking for bus schedules in bus stations.
